About Slim Up Drain
Over the course of a lifetime, we are each exposed to thousands of foreign compounds that can enter the body through the food we eat, the air we breathe and directly through our skin. To make matters worse, many of us have substituted healthy meals with a poor diet that lacks nutritional value to fuel the body’s detoxifying capacity. Over time, all of these factors can contribute to an accumulation of toxins in our body.
Slim Up Drain promotes detoxification, the better functioning of the lymphatic system, enhances the immune system and can help reduce cellulite.
How Slim Up Drain Works
Slim Up Drain is a is a computerized compression therapy system that applies intermittent compression sequentially on one or more parts of the body, similar to a massage. Lymphatic drainage can be directed to one of three areas of the body: legs and lower abdomen, arms or head. Treatments last 30 minutes and a series of treatments are normally recommended.
About the Lymphatic System
The lymphatic system is a complex one which integrates with the circulatory system and the urinary system. It facilitates waste removal at cellular level and assists with bringing nutrients and oxygen to cells. Interstitial fluid, the fluid that bathes all cells, contains a rich mixture of proteins, plasma, long chain fatty molecules, cell waste and debris and any molecules which are too big to pass into the venous system – these enter the lymphatic system and become 'lymph'.
The vessels of the lymphatic system begin as blind-ended lymph capillaries in the periphery in the layers of the skin, and progress into slightly larger vessels, then slightly larger again. These lymph vessels progress through the body passing through clearing stations called lymph nodes and ultimately to the kidneys to excrete waste products as urine.
