Fine Lines & Wrinkles
As the face, neck and eyes are the most visible areas of the body, they are also the areas where signs of aging tend to appear the soonest and most pronounced.
Years of exposure to UV radiation from the sun can worsen the telltale signs of aging. In addition, as we age, the skin’s connective tissues begin to break down. Collagen and elastin fibers, which lie in the deeper layer of the skin (dermis), slow in their production. Without these supportive connective tissues, the skin begins to lose its strength and flexibility, resulting in fine lines, vertical creases, deep wrinkles, and a loose or sagging appearance.
Injectable treatments using Wrinkle Reducer injections and Dermal Fillers (including Juvederm and others) are two of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the world. Both are quick and relatively painless procedures - with no downtime. Many of our patients complete a full treatment during their lunch hour.
These non-surgical treatments work in various ways to provide volume and lift to targeted problem areas, minimizing wrinkles and fine lines, improving the look of hollowness, and resulting in an overall "lifted" look to the mid-face. When used in combination with a treatment known as ‘Soft Lift’, they have the power to provide complete facial rejuvenation, giving patients a more fresh and youthful appearance. When combined with Ulthera skin tightening, which lifts the deep structural support layers of the skin, it can take years off your appearance - without surgery or significant downtime.
Injectables are less expensive compared to traditional cosmetic surgery. The combination of no downtime and modest cost makes injectable treatments a great alternative to surgery for slowing the effects of aging; earning injectables the nickname ‘liquid facelift’.
The availability of so many different types of injectables can seem overwhelming. While reading about the different types of injectables we offer (each of which has unique characteristics and applications, allowing our physicians to exercise artistic judgment to create the most natural looking results), please keep in mind that each injectable provides specific benefits which may or may not be appropriate for your individual goals.
Laser Resurfacing Treatments
As an alternative approach for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, Laser Resurfacing treatments can be applicable over a wide range of skin types and conditions. They have the added benefit of treating sun-damaged skin, loss of elasticity, brown spots, pigmentation, large pores, and uneven skin tone and texture.
Laser resurfacing techniques can be uniquely tailored to an individual's specific skin requirements and personal desires based on an assessment by a Sante Medical physician.
