Since being introduced over 15 years ago, cosmetic injectable treatments have enjoyed ever-increasing popularity and have become a widely accepted alternative to surgical cosmetic procedures to combat the aging process. In fact, injectable treatments have become so popular that they are the top cosmetic treatment sought by men and women today. This is because the treatments are fast (often performed during a lunchtime break), effective, affordable, and non-invasive - with little to no downtime.

Women, in particular, get injectable treatments to reduce facial wrinkles and lines and to plump up the skin by adding volume. It is estimated that over 20 million women have undergone cosmetic injectable treatments worldwide.

Injectable Face Treatments

Younger patients (under 30 years of age) are a growing segment of our cosmetic practice. Regular injectable treatments not only reduce the fine lines they already have (preventing the progression of those lines into wrinkles), it also prevents additional new ones from forming in the future.

And men who may have scoffed at the idea of cosmetic injectable procedures just a decade ago are now finding the treatments appealing to maintain their competitive edge. The number of men receiving cosmetic injectables has grown three-fold over the past ten years. Today, men make up about 20% of the patients we see for this procedure.

The world of cosmetic medicine and injectable procedures is constantly evolving as new products are continuously being introduced to the marketplace. Sante is at the forefront of the latest developments in the industry, with our physicians attending national and international conferences on a regular basis. With so many different types of injectables to choose from, and each with its unique characteristics and applications, Sante Medical physicians are able to exercise artistic judgment to create a natural look designed just for you.

There are two principle types of injectables: Wrinkle Reducer Injectables that treat fine lines and wrinkles and Dermal Fillers for increased facial volume:

Wrinkle Reducer Injectables

Wrinkle Reducer Injectables use neuromuscular toxins to smooth out lines and wrinkles, such as smile lines and forehead creases, that are caused by repetitive facial muscle movements. They work by temporarily weakening the underlying muscles.

Fillers

Fillers are used to create contours, fill in deep wrinkles and depressions, and enhance facial features.

Dermal Fillers are primarily composed of hyaluronic acid (HA), a sugar found naturally in human skin. HA works by binding about 1,000 times its weight in water. By binding water molecules, hyaluronic acid-based products add volume to the skin to smooth wrinkles and folds, plump lips, and remove scars. Over ten types of Dermal Fillers are available at Sante Medical. This allows our physicians to choose the most appropriate filler for each individual patient in order to achieve the most natural looking results.

The ‘Vampire Facelift' is a procedure that involves withdrawing a patient's own blood, processing it to create "platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and then re-injecting it to erase wrinkles, creating a more youthful appearance.

Combination Treatments

Soft Lift is a non-surgical procedure that combines the benefits of Wrinkle Reducers and specific Dermal Fillers such as Juvederm for optimal results in correcting wrinkles and restoring fullness. It treats multiple signs of aging in just one session and is completely customizable to specific age groups and conditions.

The No Downtime Facelift is a non-surgical procedure that combines Wrinkle Reducer Injectables, Dermal Fillers, and Ultherapy. The result is a tightening of the underlying muscle fascia, where we are able to restore firmness and tautness to the skin and connective tissues. This achieves a noticeable lifting of facial features, including the neck and a jowl area.
