There is no “one size fits all” approach to tightening lax, loose skin.

The most appropriate treatment will depend on several factors including location on the face or body, quality of the skin, history of prior treatments, medical history, the ability to tolerate downtime and desired results.

Sante Medical offers non-surgical skin tightening alternatives.

Little or no recovery time, minimal risk of infection or scarring, cost and natural-looking results top the list of reasons why non-invasive approach to skin tightening are favored by about 2 of 3 patients seeking skin tightening procedures. The tradeoff is that surgical procedures such as facelifts and tummy tucks can provide more dramatic and more lasting results than non-invasive procedures.

At Sante Medical you can expect a thorough, honest evaluation of your best possible treatment options. Unlike clinics that only have one or perhaps two particular type skin tightening devices and don’t offer surgical options, we can give you an unbiased and balanced view to assist in your decision.

When to Consider Non-Surgical Skin Tightening

  • If you have mild to moderate loose skin on your face, neck, arms or abdomen
  • If you are younger and seeking treatment as a means of preventative maintenance
  • If you have residual skin laxity after an operative procedure such as liposculpture, after weight loss or after body sculpting procedures such as CoolSculpting
  • Can last 1-3 years and can be repeated to maintain results
  • If you are unable (or unwilling) to undergo a more invasive, surgical procedure to correct skin laxity or if you want to limit downtime

Non-Surgical (Non-Invasive) Procedures

At Sante Medical you can choose among a number of different devices, technologies and procedures that provide non-invasive skin tightening solutions to help lift and tone lax aging skin. We have treatments for the face, abdomen/tummy, decollate, arms and loose skin above the knees.

For the most part, the science behind non-invasive skin tightening is the same amongst devises, only the delivery systems for energy used to heat the dermis differ. Such delivery systems include ultrasound, radiofrequency, laser and infrared energy.

By heating the dermis of the skin, collagen bundles are coagulated, and as they dehydrate immediate tissue shrinkage is seen. This stimulates the body’s own natural healing process, and old, lax collagen and elastic fibers are replaced with fresh, young and better-organized fibers over a period of time, typically over three to six months following the procedure.

Non-invasive skin tightening procedures available at Sante Medical include:

Ultherapy (Focused Ultrasound)

The most advanced technology involves focused ultrasound to visualize through the skin to target and treat deep support structures. Deep skin layers are targeted and heated to stimulate the growth of collagen, which gradually lifts the skin in 3-4 months. It is currently used for a non-invasive eyebrow lift and can be used to return definition to the jawline and improve the area under the chin and decollete.

Titan (Infrared Light)

Titan uses light energy to stimulate new collagen growth deep beneath the skin’s surface on your face and neck. Titan utilizes infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. This heating can cause immediate collagen contraction. During the procedure, the skin’s surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan hand piece. The infrared light travels through to the deeper layers of the skin causing tightening of the collagen architecture. After the procedure, new collagen growth results in further tightening of the skin.

EndyMed (Micro-Needling Radiofrequency)

The EndyMed Intensif handpiece applies an array of micro-diameter needles to safely and effectively provide focused radio-frequency energy deep into the dermis. Microneedle technology enables the EndyMed fractional pulse mode to deliver the energy in a micro pattern for uniform distribution. This results in more effective collagen remodeling and volumetric heating of the skin for better results.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections and Dermal Fillers (Injectables)

Anti-wrinkle injections can help to reduce the action of downward pulling muscles in the face resulting in an upwards lift of the skin. Dermal fillers can replace lost volume in the face and by doing so can help to re-expand and tighten skin.

When to Consider Surgical Skin Tightening instead of Non-Surgical

  • If you are older and have considerable loose skin on your face, neck, arms or abdomen
  • After dramatic weight loss
  • After pregnancy or as part of a ‘Mommy Makeover’
  • A facelift or tummy tuck can dramatically improve skin laxity in one surgery
  • Can last for 10 years or more and can make you appear ten to fifteen years younger
  • Can re-contour the neck and jawline better than non-surgical techniques
