Sciton Micron Peel is an intra-epidermal laser peel that precisely ablates the outermost layers of the skin. The depth of the procedure is individually tailored to the condition being corrected, using a partial (20-micron) to full epidermal (50-micron) peel, performed with topical anesthetic. Because this procedure ablates deeper into the epidermis, it is the perfect step between microdermabrasion (10-micron penetration) and full skin resurfacing.

Symptoms immediately following the procedure resemble sunburn, with minor flaking on the second day. Social downtime is generally two days, hence the nickname ‘weekend peel.’ Patients with lighter micron peels can often return to work the next day.
